Ziqiang He, the designer behind Eclipse, embarked on extensive research to ensure the design's uniqueness and feasibility. The project began in September 2019 and was exhibited at the School of Design and Art of Beijing Institute of Technology in January 2020. He delved into the symbolic meaning of solar eclipses in different cultures and explored the technical possibilities of using angle sensors for brightness adjustment.

The Eclipse wall lamp has garnered recognition for its exceptional design. In 2020, it was awarded the Iron A' Design Award in the Lighting Products and Fixtures category.
